Sandusky Bay high school sailing

Sandusky Bay High School Sailing is a Co-Ed sailing team for local youth.  

Sailors in grades 8th-12th (at the start of the school year) are eligible to join.  The teams sail on 420s (provided by the clubs) and will compete against schools from Cleveland, Columbus and SE Michigan.  Regattas are held locally, regionally and nationally depending on the class are competing in. 

The team is coached by qualified instructors who have a history of promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, integrity, leadership and competitive sailing skills.   

Competitive sailing involves fast paced, short course team racing.   The teams sail a set course and the winner of each race is determined by the number of points scored which corolate with the place the boat crossed the finish line.
